St Francis Bay Luxury Accommodation

After a long drive from Johannesburg to St Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape, we where pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Thatchwood guest house.
Thatchwood guest house in St Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape is truly a home away from home. We where made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and relaxing. We experienced the most wonderful hospitality from the owner and the staff alike. The food was wonderful and the garden and surrounds absolutely beautiful.
I will truly advise anyone travelling in that direction to book with them.

We stayed here for two night nights and loved it............wish we could have spent longer there.

St Francis Bay is a beautiful town.............and the beaches are simply stunning!

Easy to find, huge bed, luxurious bathroom, wonderful hosts, lovely breakfasts and beautifully maintained. We are used to staying in four star hotels, words cannot do justice to this place. we stayed in room 1 but can see from the comments thats other rooms are the same.

Very friendly host and excellent stylish African themed rooms with large well fitted bathrooms.
There is an honesty bar if you fancy a drink.

We would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to others. This was our second stay in three years.

This was just perfect from start to finish. Although we arrived late at night, we were welcomed warmly and shown to our rooms. The rooms were beautifully decorated in an african style and the bathrooms were huge. Breakfasts were great and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The owners Harrie & Sarah make sure you feel at home, allowing you to relax and enjoy the stay. We will be back!

This was our last stop on a recent golfing trip, and what a lovely way to finish, the rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms excellent. But the thing that makes it special are the hosts Harrie and Sarah. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The honesty bar is a great place to chat and discover things, and they were good enough to let us use their Braii (Barbecue) on the last night as the restaurants in St Francis Bay are a little limited. Thatchwood is just across the road from St Francis Links golf which is absolutely superb and well worth a visit

We recently spent four days at Thatchwood and had a really fantastic time. Our room was beautifully furnished and the bathrooms are enormous!! The breakfasts were yummy, fresh fruit and either continental or full breakfast. Harry and Sarah very attentative and they have such willing staff. For golfers book through the B&B they get special rates at local course and Jack Nicklaus Links. All in all a really good time we had in both B&B, golf courses and the town!
